Mr. Jackson :: {Janesville Wisconsin Newborn Photographer}
It is raining men {little men} in the studio lately. Jackson was such a sweet little newborn to photograph. His skin was flawless & those eyes just beautiful, although they always wanted to stay open. I guess he was afraid he was going to miss something. Thanks for bringing him Beth – he is an angel! Many congrats to your family. xOxO. Enjoy the sneak peak.

Scholastic Books Author Event ~ Roland Smith ~ Harmony School :: {Janesville Wisconsin Event Photographer}
I recently was commissioned to photograph a local Author event @ Harmony School. They were the recipient of an award from Scholastic Books for having a very successful book fair last fall 2009. They were able to have a fabulous author :: Roland Smith come in & speak to the children & teachers. I enjoyed spending the morning with the little people & hearing this wondering author speak about how he got to be where he was today & he provided some outstanding advice for the children. He even shared with them, the secrets of becoming a successful author: Read every single day. Roland explained to the children that he has done many different things in his life, but that he has always enjoyed writing & reading. It is who he is & he encouraged the children to write a lot & read often.
Thank-you Scholastic books for this great opportunity & it was wondering meeting everyone involved!
Enjoy the sneak peaks!

Karen & Eric ~ The Three B’s {Beloit, Burdge & a few Pool Balls} :: {Beloit Wisconsin Engagement Photographer}
Back in the day. Back in the day. This engagement session brings all new meaning to that phrase. I have known Karen for 25+ years. {eeek did I really just say that, that makes me old}. We went to grade school together @ Burdge Elementary in Beloit Wisconsin. So when we discussed our locations for our engagement session & she mentioned going back to Burdge, I was so pumped! Even though Eric didn’t go to Burdge he grew up in the neighborhood so it was a perfect choice for one of our locations.
All of my couples know that they have a little ‘homework’ prior to our session in order to brainstorm the best locations that will fit their relationship & their personalities.
We started out @ Leason’s Park in Beloit, which was a special place for Karen & Eric

Then we decided to lay down with the Dandelions.

Then in between recess groups we grabbed a few shots on the playground. These are the same bars that were there years ago. Different colors of course.

We had to do something to kill the time will the little kids played down below. Some of them got a kick out of watching us. Karen & Eric gave a good show.

After we finished @ the playground we headed downtown to the Carom Room, where Eric & Karen have spent a lot of time playing pool. Special thanks to the Carom Room for letting us bring the balls outside for a few shots.
Their wedding date:

The following two numbers have special meaning to K & E, and her engagement ring in the middle.

{Karen & Eric} – I hope you enjoy your sneak peaks. I had a blast photographing you & I look forward to your wedding this September!
