Pink. Tiny. Newborns = Awesomeness.

Brian & Emily chose NOT to find out what they were having {which I give those folks a lot of credit} & I was so excited to get her text when little baby girl Ashlynn came into this world on July 9th.  They were into the studio 7 days later & Ashlynn was just perfect.  I love photographing newborns, smelling their sweet new baby smell, their soft little squishy skin & seeing the amazing love on their parents’ face when they hold them.

Especially first time parents like B & E.  I’ve known them both for almost 10 years & photographed their wedding 3 years ago this September {how time flies}.

Nothing, & I mean nothing is much sweeter than watching two big brothers & their sweet little sister.  That was the case for this threesome.  Weston & Will were so amazing with their little sister Charlotte & I can’t wait to see how cute & protective they are as she grows up & gets older.  When I last photographed the Leeder family, they were a family of 4, and Charlotte makes 5 & I’m so happy for you guys & your new {pink} addition!

I absolutely LOVE photographing first birthdays.  It is such a milestone for that little person & mommy & daddy.
I especially love photographing first birthdays when I’ve had the opportunity to photograph their newborn sessions, it is always a blast to see the changes from day 1 to day 365+.  Mommy & Daddy {a.k.a Sarah & Matt} have been clients for sometime now, I photographed their wedding & enjoy seeing them every time they are back in town.     We had a great session & combined both outdoor & indoor locations.  Sterling was a bit under the weather but he managed to be a trooper.

Sterling was not thee biggest fan of the cake, {Sarah you did a great job, the cake looked wonderful} but he entertained us nonetheless.

Alexis is one of my Senior Ambassadors for 2011.

We had a wonderful time & actually had her session on her birthday – hope you had a great day A & fun @ the outdoor.

We did her entire session in Monroe.  I love love love finding new places & when we found the little water creek I was so pumped.

I didn’t even mind that I was soaking wet up to my waist.  It was all worth it!  Thanks Alexis for being a good sport yourself & getting fully wet!

Michelle & Brady had an amazing day for a wedding.

PSA :: If you are looking for a drop.dead.gorgeous. church with breath-taking light = First Congregational Church in B-town (as us natives call it)

M & B had a super fun engagement session too {click here to see that BLOG} & I enjoyed getting to know them both better.  I love doing engagement sessions prior to their wedding day because it really gives us an opportunity to get used to everyone’s crazy, silly personalities.

We started off @ Rumor Style Lounge just around the corner from my studio.  Man is that place adorable.  Check it out.

Then we headed to B-town to the church.  Michelle B & I were highly impressed with this beautiful church – the sweet soft light is a photographers dream.  For sure.

We were able to get some really great shots inside the church after the ceremony & around the area outside.  We headed to the Rock after that so the Bridal Party could enjoy a few cocktails!

Then we headed off to the Eclipse Center & yowzers did that look beautiful!  Best Events Catering {Janesville, Wisconsin} did a wonderful job decorating & the food was delish!

We had a fabulous day with you M & B.  Your family & bridal party were a blast to work with!

Oh Maddy, you are so stinkin adorable with those little “Annie” curls of yours!  Maddy & her sister Lauren have been clients of mine for several years & I always tell Mom & Dad what perfect little ‘models’ they have.  They have always been so easy to photograph, the camera absolutely loves them (both).

This time though, Maddy wanted to give me a little challenge.  She was attached to her momma the day of our session.  In a way it was pretty darn cute.  Just another reason why I love what I do for my clients, I am able to stop time for a moment & document the way they are right then.  Maddy was super “clingy” but to me, I loved the interaction, love & sweetness between her & her mommy.

We did schedule a “take 2″ session, & this time we went outside, so Maddy could run.  Glad we did both.  It allowed for some really sweet images.

Reese with her adorable smile & crazy silly pig-tails made for an excellent model for her 1-year session.

I’ve been working with her older brother & mommy & daddy for quite a few years now & am always amazed @ how much she changes every time I see her.  She is so cute & bubbly, just like her brother was when I photographed him @ age 1.

We managed to sneak in a few family shots too.

Who would have thought, that Janesville’s Dog park would make a good location for a outdoor session.  We even made it out of there unscathed – if you know what I mean

I love meeting new & fun couples like Jessie & Jon.  Just super cute, fun & up for anything!

We traveled around Janesville to a variety of locations & ended up @ the very famous Frosty Freeze which J & J go to quite often for Ice Cream.  It was very fitting for them!

Lindsey, Eric & their three little pups had a perfect morning for an engagement session!  Man these little guys had a TON of energy.  L & E were so cute with them though & I’m glad we were able to include them because I know that they’ll miss them on their wedding day!

When we were discussing the Engagement Session & the location where we would shoot I explained to L & E that I like my Wedding clients to do a little homework & really think about their relationship, where they met, how they got engaged, some of their favorite things to do.  What would define them as a couple?

It is pretty common for couples to say “we don’t have anything…” or “we aren’t very exciting”… but surely after awhile they are bound to think of something good!

Lindsey & Eric did not disappoint.  They knew they wanted to include their pups because they are getting married in the Wisconsin Dells in just a few short weeks & they won’t be able to accompany them on their wedding day for photos.  They also explained to me that Eric has a LOVE for Best Buy.  {little did I know exactly how much love they were talking about}.  His love for electronics, gadgets, tvs etc.  Lindsey was totally up for the challenge & Best Buy in Janesville was very kind to allow us in.

I had a great morning with you guys & can’t wait for your wedding in a few short weeks!

So when we walked in the door of Best Buy, the lady that stands there in the front recognized Eric!!  We told her we were there for their Engagement Session & she said “Oh yes, I recognize you, you come in like every week…” So cute.  Loved it.  I knew right then, it was the best decision to shoot there for part of the session!
