So we had a lot of visions for this session.  But we knew we wanted something outside, something different, something fun.

With a good mixture of creativity I think we got what we were looking for.  Mama is an art teacher at heart & certainly is an artsy mama.  She made the first outfit she had on, well sort of.  Anyhoo it is always fun brain storming ideas with this gal.

OK so this has a super long back story.  We won’t bore you with the details, but K-mama & Bob, this is for you.

Really it is an image like this that keeps me coming back to maternity sessions as one of my favorites.

You absolutely can not get that feeling back, that tiny itsy bitsy moment where you feel that baby kick & your belly looks like a volleyball.

the smile, the skin, the face, the love.  There is absolutely nothing else in the world like it.

Kim & Kevin are expecting a little boy in a few short weeks & recently came into the studio for a maternity session.

I met Kim over 3  years ago.  She was the attending nurse for a birth I photographed at St. Mary’s.  I photographed her & Kevin’s daughters Jasmine & Tia, & was so excited to hear they were expecting baby #3 & it was a sweet little boy!

So excited to meet him @ his newborn session & enjoy your sneak peak!

I know this shot has been done a million & one times, but I still get many couples who request it.  For some reason it really worked for me this time.  I love how this shot fell together for them!

So notice the band on Kevin’s hand.  On the flip side it says “It’s a boy” & he wears it every day, how CUTE is that?

Brian & Emily chose NOT to find out what they were having {which I give those folks a lot of credit} & I was so excited to get her text when little baby girl Ashlynn came into this world on July 9th.  They were into the studio 7 days later & Ashlynn was just perfect.  I love photographing newborns, smelling their sweet new baby smell, their soft little squishy skin & seeing the amazing love on their parents’ face when they hold them.

Especially first time parents like B & E.  I’ve known them both for almost 10 years & photographed their wedding 3 years ago this September {how time flies}.

Nothing, & I mean nothing is much sweeter than watching two big brothers & their sweet little sister.  That was the case for this threesome.  Weston & Will were so amazing with their little sister Charlotte & I can’t wait to see how cute & protective they are as she grows up & gets older.  When I last photographed the Leeder family, they were a family of 4, and Charlotte makes 5 & I’m so happy for you guys & your new {pink} addition!

This is what you get when you ask the daddy to “help out” during a session & hold fabric….

Last but certainly not least:

It is raining men {little men} in the studio lately.  Jackson was such a sweet little newborn to photograph.  His skin was flawless & those eyes just beautiful, although they always wanted to stay open.  I guess he was afraid he was going to miss something.  Thanks for bringing him Beth – he is an angel!  Many congrats to your family.  xOxO.  Enjoy the sneak peak.

LuLu came into the studio & was determined to not fall asleep.  Which was just fine because she has the most beautiful eyes & cute little dimple.  With two older brothers @ home I guess she probably figures she has to show everyone that she is indeed the boss.  Thanks E for bringing her down congrats again on your little girl!  Enjoy the sneak peak & see you soon!  {S. I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, I absolutely *puffy heart* photographing newborn babies.  Especially when they are as perfect as Mr. Colton.   I met this family a couple months ago when we did their maternity session:

Meet Ellye Louise she is the newborn daughter to Genna & Mat who I frequently call my most “famous” Bride & Groom.   I had several of their wedding images displayed at the past few Bridal Fairs & I can’t begin to count how many people would come to the booth saying “we know those people”, “oh look it is Genna & Mat…”.  So I told them they were “famous” & now that means by association that Ellye is famous too, @ least in the Natale Photography world.

I love that over two years ago I first met G & M, photographed their Engagement session, Wedding & now their sweet baby girl.  Fun to watch couples evolve & ‘grow-up’ as Mat would explain.

I had a great session with you guys & it was nice to catch up & meet your new little girl.
